William "Bill" Guldin, age 69, of Abington, formerly of Germantown and Mt. Airy, passed away on June 7, 2024, at Lehigh Valley Hospital in Allentown. Bill was born in Philadelphia on February 14, 1955.
He attended Bishop McDevitt High School and went on to serve in the Army and National Guard. He worked as a train mechanic for SEPTA for 30 years. Bill loved buying (and then selling) classic cars, motorcycles, and scooters. He also enjoyed Thursday nights with the boys and monthly SEPTA breakfasts. He retired a couple of times, but he was never satisfied with sitting still, so he went back to work at The Bike Works, the KT and the Abington Pharmacy. During his "retirement" years he enjoyed antiquing at thrift stores and yard sales, painting by number, babysitting his grandkids, setting up his train display for Christmas, Buying Lottery scratch-offs and happy hours in the shed with his Soupy.
He is the dear son of the late Robert and Eleanor Guldin (nee: Leyrer); beloved husband of Susan (nee: Clauss); loving dad of Christina (Mike) McCauley and Michael (Jenny) Guldin; dear brother of Eleanor (Vincent) Pironti; loving Pop of Grace Guldin, Anna McCauley, Nora McCauley, and Charlie Guldin; dear son-in-law of Dolores and the late Jack Clauss; dear brother-in-law of John, Bud (Colleen), Jim (Jeanine), and Bill (Chris) Clauss; also survived by his many friends and relatives.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing on Thursday (June 13, 2024) from 5:00 to 8:00 pm., and on Friday morning from 10:30 to 11:30 am., followed by his Funeral Service at 11:30 am., at ANGELONE FUNERAL HOME, INC., 501 Easton Road, Willow Grove, PA 19090 . Interment will take place on Tuesday June 18, 2024, at washington Crossing National Cemetery in Newtown, PA, at 2:00 pm.
