Theresa M.
Rongione
Dec 28, 1959 — Dec 15, 2023
Theresa Marie Rongione, 63, of Langhorne, PA, died Thursday, December 15, 2023, peacefully at St. Mary's Hospital with her beloved husband Al Rongione of 40 years by her side.
Terry was born in Philadelphia PA, right after Christmas on December 28th, 1959, to Genevieve (Jenny) and Francis Duggan. She was raised by her mother Genevieve to have a strong Catholic faith, and this faith grew through her time at St. Jerome for grade school and Archbishop Ryan for High School.
Shortly after high school, in 1980, Al saw Terry for the first time and it was love at first sight. It wasn't long before the two were dating and, in 1983, Terry and Al married at Maternity BVM. In 1988 had their first child, Michael, followed by their daughter Jenny in 1991. The Rongione household growing up was a lively place, and Terry was a nucleus bringing everyone together, spreading happiness and joy wherever she went.
In 1994, Terry began a battle that would last almost 30 years, fighting a brain tumor and the long lasting effects of its treatment. Terry's courage and determination could not be overstated, and her love of family and the joy she took being with them was never lost.
Terry was preceded in death by Francis Duggan, and is survived by her mother Genevieve Duggan, husband Al Rongione, children Michael Rongione and Jenny White (Michael White), and two grand children, Dominic and Nolan White.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Terry's viewing on Wednesday, December 20, 2023, from 10:00 am. to 11:30 am., followed by her Funeral Mass at 11:30 am., at Our Lady of Grace Church, 225 Bellevue Ave., Penndel, PA 19047. Interment Our Lady of Grace cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations in Terry's memory be made to the National Brain Tumor Society, 55 Chapel Street, Suite 006, Newton, MA 02458. www.braintumor.org
