Obituary

Stinvil Michel, age 91, passed away on September 9, 2022, in his home surrounded by those he loved in Oreland. Stinvil (Ziky) was born in Haiti on July 11, 1931; dear son of the late Theolien Michel and the late Alcine Jolly; beloved husband of Carmelite Rabel.

He was a loving father to Edwige, Claudette (Benthoul), Nicole (Mayou), Carole, Marie (Lanose) spouse of Jean Noisette, Edison spouse of Yanick Michel, Harry spouse of Florise Michel, Guy, Myrlande spouse of Karlyle Raphael and Chenet.
He was a great brother to Olga Michel, Eddy Jolly, Theodore, Roger, Raymond, and Clautilde Michel.
He was a loving grandfather to Betty, Johnny, Sandy spouse of Mike Baker, Fabiola, Germina, Wilbens, Djala, Sincia, Junior, Stanley, Barbyose, Yvanley (Vanvan) spouse of Emilie Noisette, Yaneck, spouse of Tiffany, Mariohn, Matts, Gerd, Ariel, Steven spouse of Zeraida Michel, Kelly, Dale spouse of Jeff, Dave, Page, Guy, Misha, Moronie spouse of Cheick, Kirtland (Kikie), Kassandr (Kassoue), Anne and Chelsey Michel.
He was a great grandfather to Kevin, Darshelle, Ridley, Barnel, Shaina, Abigaél, Samad, Samad, Sebastian (Batan), Sebastien (Jay), Wilken's kids, Djala's kids, Maxia, Luczy, Mathéo, Dior, Nicholai, Jayda, Jaythan, Zayvan, Osirus, Arkkadia and Emiliana.
He was adored by his great great grandkids Kevin, Aleeyah, & Payton.
Many who knew Ziky would say that at first glanced looked like the meanest person but in reality was the total opposite. He was so kind, loving, empathetic and generous. He worked hard so that his family could have the life he wanted them to have.
He will be dearly missed.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing on Saturday, September 17, 2022, from 9:00 to 11:00 am., followed by his funeral Mass at 11:00 am., at Our Lady of Hope Church, 5200 North Broad St., Phila, Pa. 19141. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
