Rosemary Ann
Shoener
Apr 3, 1937 — Feb 15, 2024
It is with heavy heart and great sorrow that we confirm the peaceful passing of Rosemary Shoener (86) of Lansdale, PA, formally of Clarks Summit, PA, on February 15, 2024, surrounded by friends and family. She is now joined in the Kingdom of Heaven with her loving husband, Leroy, who passed away on November 11, 2023.
Rosemary was born to Joseph and Maria Costanzo on April 3, 1937, in Scranton, PA. She was one of four children. She attended Scranton Technical High School where she was head cheerleader, involved in many clubs and activities and, after graduation, helped to organize many reunions. She immensely loved her high school experience, and is where she met the love of her life, Leroy. They were married shortly after graduation and created an unbreakable bond together for 67 years. Their marriage was a true love story and they loved and respected each other deeply. Their partnership was something to admire.
She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend who loved golf, was a talented artist, and had an entrepreneurial spirit that resulted in her own interior design business that she ran for well over 30 years. Rosemary started with creating and sewing her own window treatments for customers and expanded her talents to paint colors, wall coverings, and furniture. She was always very active in her business and, as a stay-at-home mom, dedicated to her children's many activities.
Rosemary loved to talk about her family including children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren as she was so proud of them all.
Rosemary is survived by her two children Lori Marie Vitock (Richard), Charleston, SC; Lee William Shoener (Michelle), Hatfield, PA. She had a special relationship with her daughter-in-law and son-in-law as she treated them as though they were her own children.
Grandchildren Courtney Cropp (Blane), Bennington, NE; Caitlin Monahan (Patrick), Charleston, SC; Allison Predjulek (Steve), Huntington Valley, PA; Kelly Walsh (Richard), Havertown, PA; Melissa Shoener, Philadelphia, PA; Great-Grandchildren Patrick Richard Monahan, Charleston, SC; Brinley Harper Cropp, Bennington, NE.
Sister Josephine Mahon and sister-in-law Palma Yanni. She was predeceased by sister Carmel Emanuel and her husband Ray, her brother Pasquale Yanni, and her brother-in-law Paul Mahon. She is also survived by many loved nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A Mass of Christian Burial to celebrate her life will be held on Saturday, March 16, 2024, at 10am in St. Benedict's Church, 1849 Newton Ransom Blvd., Clarks Summit, PA. Friends and family may visit and offer condolences at the church from 9am until the start of Mass.
Interment at Cathedral Cemetery will be private at a later date.
