Obituary

Rose Bressi (nee: Buongiorno) beloved wife of the late Pasquale (Pat) Bressi passed away peacefully on August 3, 2023, at the age of 83, after a lengthy battle with Dementia. Family and friends were by her side. Formerly from Churchville PA, she was born in Philadelphia. Rose was best known for her amazing kindness; she devoted her life to her family and to helping others as a companion for the elderly. She was absolutely adored by her family and her clients. She was also known for her innate sense of fashion and aided by her love for shopping, was always up to date with the latest trends. Most family and friends knew if they needed an outfit for any event, her basement was the first place to go. Rose was also known for her amazing cooking. Her recipes and traditions will forever be passed down by generations to come. Rose loved to entertain and was a socialite, in many ways who never turned down a day or evening out. Despite a busy social life, Rose was able to balance it with being a mother and grandmother first, as visits with her children and grandchildren were naturally frequent and on a "drop by whenever" basis. Rose was also quite the traveler. She loved going on trips with her husband Pat to places like Marco Island, Hawaii, Italy and cruises. She also loved traveling on her family's vacations with her children and grandchildren to places like Miami, OBX and Disney World.

She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Pasquale "Pat" Bressi, her mother Tina Buongiorno (nee: Supino), her brother Frank (Nancy) and her sister Eleanor (Bernie). She leaves behind her devoted and loving family which includes her three children, James Bressi (Jill), Renae Formica (Tim) and Paul Bressi (Mike), her 7 grandchildren Vincent (Sarah), Nick, Michael, her only granddaughter Marissa Dillon (Eric), Dante, Marco and Jack, her 2 great grandchildren, George and Leah and one more on the way. Additionally her four brothers John (Linda), Fred who was extremely devoted to Rose remained particularly close with until the end, Carlo (Sue), and Louie (Vera). Aside from her immediate family, Rose also leaves behind a large extended family along with her and her late husband's lifetime best friends Roz and Anthony Pallidino who were with her until the very end.

Rose will be deeply missed by her family and due to the complex nature of her condition, many of us were never able to completely say goodbye. In the end, her illness may have wiped many of her memories, but it did not take them. Rose gave so many memories for people to keep for her. If you had the pleasure of sharing those memories with Rose, remember why they are there, remember what they meant to you, hold them tight and may they live forever in your hearts just as Rose lives forever in ours. Heaven truly gained another angel to watch over us all. Fly free Rose and give Pat a nice hug and kiss for us.
