Rita Helen Casciato (nee: Mellea), age 87, of Roxborough, formerly of South Philadelphia, passed away on November 10, 2025, at St. Joseph Villa in Flourtown. Rita was born in Philadelphia on June 26, 1938; dear daughter of the late Vito Mellea and the late Teresa Mellea (nee: Corapi); beloved wife of Joseph Casciato; loving mom of Rocco Casciato, Elizabeth (Scott) Chilman, Stephanie (Joseph) Fittipaldi, and Joseph (Carol) Casciato; dear sister of the late Mariana DiGuglielmo and Catherine Casciato; beloved Mom Mom of Jennifer (Stephen) Rosenthal, Scott (Melissa) Chilman, Christopher (Dominque) Chilman, Joseph (Bella) Casciato, Jessica (Zachariah) Guadalupe, Joseph (Victoria) Fittipaldi, and Alanna Casciato; beloved "GiGi" and "KiKi" of Anna, Jack, and Shea Rosenthal, Cece and Emma Guadalupe, and Colton Casciato;

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Viewing on Friday morning from 9:30 to 11:00 am., followed by her Funeral Mass at 11:00 am., at the Queen of Peace Church, 820 North Hills Avenue, Ardsley, PA  19038. Entombment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
