Nino Abbandonato's Obituary
Aniello "NINO" Abbandonato of North Wales, formerly of Flourtown, Pennsylvania died Tuesday, September 13, 2016 at Doylestown Hospital. He was 85 years old. Aniello was born May 12, 1931 in Avellino, Italy, son of the late Aniello Abbandonato and the late Elvira Abbandonato (nee - Guerrera). Nino was a US Army Veteran of the Korean War; he was also a member of the US Army Ski Team and an Interpreter for the US Army; he was a Barber for over 60 years, 45 of them as owner of Nino's Barber Shop in Oreland, PA; he was an avid Bowler, he loved the Phillies, and he really loved to watch his grandchildren play soccer. Beloved husband of the late Mary (nee: Licchiello); loving father of Marc Abbandonato, Lisa (Al) Quasti, and Anne Marie (John) Stefany; beloved grandfather of Lisa, Brianna, Christopher, and Kevin; dear brother of the late Carmen Abbandonato.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Funeral Mass on Monday morning starting at 11:00 am., at Mary, Mother of the Redeemer Church, 1350 Upper State Road, North Wales, PA 19454. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. There will be a visitation on Monday from 9:30 to 11:00 am., at the Church. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory can be made to Doylestown Hospital, 595 West State Street, Doylestown, PA 18901.
