Born in Port Richmond Philadelphia, Nancy attended grade school at Nativity BVM and was a graduate of Little Flower Catholic High School for Girls. She married her sweetheart Jerry in 1952 at Nativity BVM church in Port Richmond. They recently celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary. Nancy was extremely dedicated to Jerry having renewed their vows on their 25th and 50th anniversaries. They celebrated their 50th anniversary on a cruise to Bermuda. Nancy spent the majority of her life as a Homemaker. After raising her 4 children she went to work in the cafeteria at Bishop McDevitt High School where she loved serving the students and staff for 10 years until she retired at the age of 65. Her husband, children, and grandchildren were her life. She used to love having them over on Sunday's for dinner. Nothing made Nancy happier than the family getting together for her famous homemade Irish Stew. Other than being with family and friends, Nancy loved to read Mystery Books. She also was a very devout Catholic and was very proud of her Irish Heritage. Her dreams were realized when she went to Ireland to see where her ancestors were from. Nancy would spend a great deal of time every day praying the rosary and for peace on earth. Nancy with a laughing smile was her nickname as a child. Her smile lit up a room. It was truly contagious. Nancy loved vacationing in Ocean City MD along with her children and grandchildren for the past 30 years. Nancy had been a member of Saint John of the Cross Parish in Roslyn for 60 years. Nancy was a loving and devoted Wife, Mom, Mom-Mom, and Great Grand Mom, who would drop everything when someone needed something. Everyone that had the privilege to have known Nancy loved her and knows how much she will be forever missed. Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing on Tuesday February 26th from 9:30 AM to 11AM at St. John of the Cross at 2741 Woodland Rd. Roslyn Pa. 19001. A Funeral Mass will follow beginning at 11AM. Interment will follow the service at Saint John Neumann Cemetery. Nancy spent the last 4 years of her life at Fox Subacute where she was treated like family. The Mullen family would like to extend their warmest and deepest appreciation to all of the staff at Fox and to the nurses and doctors at Doylestown Hospital for everything they have done for their Mom, and Mom-Mom.
