Obituary

Michael L. Strollo, formerly of Germantown, passed away on April 16, 2014, at the age of 92; Mike was a US Army WWII veteran, member of the 99th Infantry Division who fought in the Battle of the Bulge and was awarded the Bronze Star, the past President Emeritus of the Ernest M. Strollo Sons of Italy Lodge No. 683, and a member of the VFW Post 5205 Chestnut Hill; beloved husband of Stella (nee: Korczynski); devoted father of Janet (Joseph) Frangiosa, Arlene (Tim) Kurz, and Nancy (David) Lydon; treasured pop-pop of Michael Lydon, Courtney & Timmy Kurz, and Joe Frangiosa; cherished brother of Joanne Strollo, and the late Antoinette (late Tom) Cummins and Josephine (late John) Armenio. Relatives and friends are invited to call Tuesday 7-9 P.M. And Wednesday 8:30-9:30 A.M. GALZERANO FUNERAL HOME, 9304 Old Bustleton Ave. (below Welsh Rd.). Funeral Mass Wednesday 10:00 A.M. Maternity B.V.M. Church. Int. Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Michael L. Strollo Order Sons of Italy Scholarship Fund, P.O.Box 159, Cheltenham, PA 19012.
