Michael J. Franco has "Gone Fishing". He passed away peacefully at his home in Ambler, PA on June 26, 2020. He was 62 years old and bravely battled cancer for 3 years.

He was born on November 23, 1957 in Bristol, PA. He graduated from Abington High School in 1975. Mike worked as a printer at Acro Labels in Willow Grove for 36 years. He was a member of the Philadelphia Bass Busters Club and was very proud of his many 'Angler of the Year' awards. A unique soul, he will be remembered to anyone who knew him even briefly as an avid fisherman. His clothing, decor, and conversation reflected his love for the sport. He will be greatly missed.

Mike is survived by his daughter Jesse and granddaughter Maizie who he adored; his father, Mike Franco and stepmother Beverly; brother Steve and his wife Maddie; sister Karen; brother Eric and his wife Jeanne; and many nieces, nephews, and other loving family and friends. He is preceded in death by his mother Arlene and his sister Jill.

A private life celebration service will be held at Angelone Funeral Home with interment at Hillside Cemetery.

A charity close to Mike's heart is Project Healing Waters, which teaches the sport of fly fishing as a rehabilitation tool to our disabled veterans.
