Mary Cocivera of Rydal, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on Monday evening, January 4, 2021. She was 91 years old.  Daughter of the late Gaetano and Carmela Sangrigoli (nee: Mavica) and beloved wife of her late soulmate, Salvatore Cocivera.  Cherished and loving mother to her children, John and Mary, and loving mother-in-law to John's late wife, Joanne Cocivera (nee: Zeoli) and Mary's husband, Aloysius Lawn. Devoted and affectionate grandmother and great-grandmother to Lori (Nicholas Wilde), Angela, Gina (Garig Vanderveldt), Vincent, Gabriella, Luke, Juliana, Maia Luna, Gianna, Domenic, Ava, Reagan, and Morgan. Mary was born in Indianapolis, Indiana where she resided until the age of seven.  She then moved to Sicily with her parents and remained there until 1950 when she returned to the states with her husband and son.  She was always proud of her American/Italian heritage.  Although Mary was an only child, she was always blessed with an abundance of friends who filled her life and deeply loved and cared for her; Mary likewise loved and cared deeply for the people in her life.  For most of her life, Mary was a homemaker who took pride in her home as well as in the foods she cooked and the sweets she baked.  But Mary took greatest pride in her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Whether playing Uno, letting them style her hair, or rolling out cookie dough, she enjoyed every minute of her time with them.  She was a grandmother in every sense of the word. We will miss you mom, more than you'll ever know.  You will always be a part of our hearts.  Until we meet again, please know we will love you forever and always.  Go with God and rest in peace.

Due to the Covid pandemic, services and interment will be private.  At a later date, we hope you will join us in a celebration of Mary's life.
