Linda Helene DeWan was born in Philadelphia and grew up in the Northeast, in the household of Mary and Roy Bobbitt. She attended Our Lady of Ransom grade school and then went on to St. Hubert's Catholic High School for Girls. She enjoyed music and dancing. A memorable life event as a teenager was attending an Elvis Presley concert. Linda loved animals and rescued many cats in her lifetime.
Throughout her adulthood, Linda struggled to control a serious mental health condition. Some days were better than others. The past few years were good ones for Linda, in the care of Ericka Gay who helped guide her daily activities. Linda was stable and participating in the New Courtland LIFE program, which helped her maintain her independence. Linda smiled a lot and had a concern for others.
She is survived by her sister, Marie Lange. Predeceased by Mary Bobbitt and Roy Bobbitt.
