Lena Tursi (nee: Boglia) of Hatboro and formerly of Melbourne, Florida and Warminster passed away peacefully at Phoebe Wyncote Nursing and Residential Home, in Wyncote, on Saturday, August 17, 2013. Lena was the loving wife of the late Nicholas J. Tursi, her husband of 48 years, who passed away in 1996. She was the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary Boglia, and the sister of Helen McSloy and the late Felix Boglia. Lena was the cherished mother of Andrea Myers and husband Richard, and devoted grandmother to Tara Hersch and husband James, and Alexa Myers and her fiance, Joshuo Feys. Lena was also the proud great-grandmother of James Hersch Jr. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Born July 18, 1921 in Philadelphia, Lena's life spanned a remarkable 92 years of events ranging from the Roaring 20's and Great Depression and World War II to present, culminating with a fascination of present day technology. Lena recently expressed interest in learning how to use a computer and marveled at the convenience of flat screen televisions and cell phones. She was a talented professional seamstress and worked at her trade making fine clothing for many years. Lena was a dedicated friend to all who needed her. She enjoyed social events and was an expert bridge player, the latter of which she enjoyed throughout her retired years in Florida with her many friends. Her true passion, however, was her grandchildren and she was proud to be a significant part of their lives by maintaining a loving relationship with each. She leaves behind a legacy of devotion, love and wisdom. Our example of strength through her faith in difficult times, she will be dearly missed. A Funeral Service in her memory will be held on Saturday, September 7th, 2013 at St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church, Easton and County Line Roads, Warrington, PA. Friends and family will be received from 9:00 to 9:30 A.M. at the Church, prior to the service. Interment Private.
