Obituary

Josephine L. Brigidi (nee Franks) of Warrington, PA passed away at home peacefully surrounded by her loving family on May 19, 2023 at the age of 85. She was born June 23, 1937 in Philadelphia, PA to Madeline Franks (nee DiStefano) and Anthony Franks.

Josie grew up in Philadelphia with her three siblings; Lloyd, Joan, and Lorraine, who called her "Babe". She met her future husband, Frank, in High School and would have celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary this year. Josie first worked at Bell Telephone and then went on to raise 4 wonderful children. Family was the most important thing in her life and spending time with them was her greatest joy. She cherished every moment she got to spend with them. There was not a kinder, selfless, more giving and caring person. Sunday Mass was important to her and she prayed every single day faithfully for everyone she knew that needed a prayer.

In her early married years, she enjoyed summer vacations in Wildwood, NJ with her children and family friends. She also enjoyed the winter time in the Poconos. Josie had so many groups of friends because everyone she met loved her. She lit up a room with her beautiful smile. She enjoyed various activities with her friends like; bowling, trips to New York, Christmas brunches at North Hills Country Club but especially golfing which she loved for years. Josie was an amazing cook and was known for her homemade gravy and meatballs in addition to many other favorites. Her friends considered her the "Biscotti Contessa" for her famous Biscotti's she made. One of her favorite pastimes was making Christmas cookies with her sisters each year.

Josie will always be remembered as a devoted wife, a loving mother, a wonderful sister, a caring friend and will be so deeply missed by her husband Frank and her children; Frank Brigidi (Mary), Debbie Melchiorre (Jack), Anthony Brigidi (Karen) and Greg Brigidi (Stephanie). She had 10 grandchildren; John, Frankie, Ariana, Alyssa, Anthony, Maria, Christina, Dominic, Joe and Sophia. She is also survived by her two sisters, Joan Rosenberger and Lorraine Greway (John). Her brother, Lloyd Franks (Maria) predeceased her.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her visitation on Wednesday morning, May 31, 2023, from 10:00 am to 11:30 am., followed by her Funeral Mass at 11:30 am., at the St. Jude Church, 321 West Butler Avenue, Chalfont, PA  18914.
