Joseph A. Messina's Obituary
Joseph A. Messina, age 87, passed away on October 23, 2016, after a courageous battle with Parkinson's Disease; dearest son of the late Salvatore and Gulia (nee: Pinata) Messina; married 63 years to his beloved wife Nancy (nee: Boccuto); loving father of Stephen (Shirley) Messina, Julie (late Joseph) Canazaro, Joyce (Thomas) Horan, Joann Spatola, and Janice (Robert) Gablein; dear brother of Marie (Gregory) Donzuso, and the late Jenny (Johnny) Comodeco and Vincent (Lonnie) Messina; also survived by 12 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews; a special thank you to his loving caretaker Chanell Kanguatjivi.
Joseph was the founder and operator of Joseph's Catering in Horsham for the last 45 years.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing on Thursday evening from 7:00 to 9:00 pm., at the ANGELONE FUNERAL HOME, INC., 501 Easton Road (Willow Grove, 215-659-0202). There will also be a viewing on Friday morning at the Nativity of Our Lord Church, 605 West Street Road, Warminster from 9:30 to 11:00 am., followed by his Funeral Mass at 11:00 am.. Interment Whitemarsh Memorial Park. Donations in his memory can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, P.O. Box 100, Dept. 142, Memphis, TN 38148. www.stjude.org
