Joseph L. Messa Sr., age 89, formerly of Germantown, passed away on March 9, 2014; some of his many accomplishments were an Attorney, a Real Estate Broker & Appraiser, Ward Leader, Secretary Treasurer of the Republican City Committee, and a Veteran of WWII with the Merchant Marines; he was also a member of many organizations including the Knights of Columbus, Sons of Italy, and the Phila Board of Realtors; he was the beloved husband of Virginia C. (nee: Ciaffoni); loving father of Joseph Jr. (Christine) and Paul (Kimi) Messa; dear brother of Charles A. Messa Jr., Marie Wagner, and the late Josephine Quinn and Joan Messa; beloved grandfather of Genevieve Elizabeth, Alexzander, Zachary, and Nola Faith. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Funeral Mass on Friday morning starting at 11:00 am. at St. Philip Neri Church, 437 Ridge Pike, Lafayette Hill, PA 19144. There will be a viewing on Thursday evening from 6:00 to 9:00 pm., and again on Friday morning from 10:00 to 11:00 am. at the Church. Entombment George Washington Memorial Park.
