Joseph G. Kane Sr., age 83, passed away on April 29, 2017; he was a former employee of the Philadelphia Inquirer and a member of the Teamsters Local 1414; beloved husband of the late Dolores (nee: Mains); loving father of Joseph (Michelle) Kane, Alicia (John) Theis, Diane (Kevin Rehrer) Kane, and Patrick (Lori) Kane; dear brother of Robert Kane, Dolores Mulgrew, Theresa Phillips, Francis Kane, Mary Jane McEntee, and the late Sarah Anderson, Eugene, John, Daniel, and Vincent Kane; beloved grandfather of Thomas, Daniel (Patricia), Christopher, Cameron, Tana, John, Lauren (Adam), and John (Suzy); beloved great-grandfather of Derek, Emma, Cora, Adam Jr., and Hanah. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing on Thursday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 pm., followed by services at 8:00 pm., at St. Katherine of Siena Church, 9700 Frankford Ave., Phila, 19114. In lieu of flowers, donations in his name can be made to the Holy Redeemer Health System, Office of Philanthropy, 521 Moredon Road, Huntingdon Valley, PA 19006.
