Obituary

J oseph Francis Coyle Sr. ("Joe"), 82, of North Wales, PA, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loved ones on June 3, 2026 . Joe will be remembered for his quiet strength and unwavering devotion to his family.

Joe was born on December 20, 1943, to James and Aurelia (nee: Klescka) in Philadelphia, PA. After graduating from Northeast Catholic High School in 1961, Joe realized office work wasn't for him and began a lifelong career as a machinist.

In 1962, Joe met Patricia Springer, his soulmate and lifelong partner. Joe and Pat married in 1966, moved to Roslyn in 1968, and together raised three children: Joe Jr. (Donna), Colleen, and Mike (Joanne). Through their children's activities, Joe and Pat met their 'forever friends' while part of the St. John of the Cross community. In addition to spending time with family and friends, Joe enjoyed golfing, fishing, boating, puzzles, and woodworking. He took great pride in building furniture and handcrafted gifts for those he loved.

Anyone who knew Joe—or spent five minutes with him—knew that his greatest passion was his wife, Pat, his children, and his grandchildren: Allyson, Matthew, Nicholas, Margaret, Michael, and Olivia. Family meant more to Joe than anything else in the world, and he never missed an opportunity to say so. With great pride, he often said that his legacy was not only his children, but also the values he instilled in them—values that helped them build successful lives and loving families of their own.

Joe will be deeply missed and forever remembered by his family and friends. While the loss is immeasurable, so too are the lessons, love, and memories he leaves behind.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Joe's visitation on Wednesday, June 10, 2026, from 9:30 to 11:00 a.m., followed by his Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. at St. Rose of Lima Church, 424 S. Main St., North Wales, PA. Interment will follow at Whitemarsh Memorial Park.
