Joseph E. Allen passed away suddenly on June 23, 2013, at the age of 80; he is the beloved husband of Violet (nee: Belmonte); loving father of Mary Beth D'Angelo-Kachel; dear brother of Ellen Saurman, Mary Jones, Rita Eakins, and the late Thomas Allen, George Allen, Margaret O'Rourke, and Katherine McCullis; beloved grandfather of Stephen and Michael; also survived by his many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing on Friday evening from 7:00 to 9:00 pm., and Saturday morning from 9:00 to 10:00 am., at the ANGELONE FUNERAL HOME, INC., 501 Easton Road (Willow Grove, 215-659-0202). His Funeral Mass will be on Saturday morning starting at 11:00 am., at St. John of the Cross Church, 2741 Woodland Rd., Roslyn. No Interment. Military Honors will take place after Mass at the Church.
