Obituary

Jane E. Ball, 87, a resident of Philadelphia, passed away peacefully on November 7th. She was born in Camden, NJ, on July 24, 1935, daughter of the late Mildred and John Santosuosso.
She graduated from Collingswood High School and Pierce Business School, after which she worked for Bell Telephone and Haegele's Bakery. Her family will forever remember all the bakery sweet treats and her stories of working there.
Blank walls and empty corners didn't stand a chance with Jane around. With her discerning taste and attention to detail, she found deep joy in displaying artful arrangements of the collections she treasured. She had an artist's eye, and whether at her place in Philadelphia or in her beloved cottage by the bay, Jane turned houses into homes. She was a talented crafter with a knack for figuring things out, and she used those talents to weave together a meaningful life she filled with simple pleasures. There was no place in the world she loved more than Long Beach Island, and it is there that her spirit lives on.
Jane is survived by her sons Chuck (Barbara) Ball, Chris Ball, two granddaughters Megan (Nate)
Progar, Michelle (Luke) Dachowski, three great grandchildren Rowan, Allison, Rylan, brother Dr. John (Janet) Santosuosso, sister Lynne (Jim Robertson) Pickens, niece Rebecca (David Nelson) Pickens, and three great nephews Elias, Josiah, and Walden. She was predeceased by her husband Charles and their son Michael.
Memorial contributions may be made to Tuckerton Seaport, 120 West Main Street, Tuckerton NJ, 08087 .  The family will gather privately on Long Beach Island at a future date.
