James F. Laky of North Wales, Pennsylvania passed away on June 1, 2025 surrounded by his loving family.

Jim is survived by his wife Tina and his children James (Christi) and Nicholas.

He was Pop Pop to his grandchildren, Jaxson and Avery, whom he loved more than anything.

He is also survived by his sisters, Beth and Susan.

Jim leaves behind many family members, including his mother-in-law, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews, along with many, many friends and his dog Gipper and granddogs, Bogie and Luca.

Jim's greatest joy was watching his grandkids. You could always find him on the sideline (or on the field when he should not have been) cheering them on. He loved Notre Dame Football, Villanova Basketball, and watching North Penn Football. He started a tradition of taking his grandkids to Notre Dame for the spring game, which we will continue in his honor.

He loved cooking, barbecuing, and having his annual "crab fest" for family and friends.

Jim leaves behind more stories (sometimes long winded) than can be told and we will love sharing them for years to come. In the words of Notre Dame's Lou Holtz, "Those who knew Jim, no explanations necessary. Those who didn't, no explanation will suffice."

A "Toast to Jim" will be held at a later date.
