George Pollacco, 70, of Philadelphia passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, September 25, 2017.

George was born in Germantown, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, at home during a major snow storm on February 8, 1947 with only his Grandmother's help.

That was the beginning of a unique and eventful life, never the usual for him. To know him was to love him with the heart of gold that has friends and family telling the stories about him for years. Stories about all his loves, fishing with his brother Bob, treating all the kids, treating all his friends, Wildwood New Jersey, Crazy boating trips, Corvette races to the shore and enjoying all the Philly teams, NASCAR and "life".  Life wasn't all "fun" for him especially his last days and in his younger life he ventured on troubled waters but with the love and prayers of his family and friends he always managed to come through.

He is survived by his sister Maria (Peter F.) Brown of Rowland, PA. and loving nephews Robert A. Pollacco, Michael (Christine) Pollacco, of Feasterville Pa. Beth Dolas of Skippack, Pa. Bryan (Jodie) Brown of Miami Florida.  Loving uncle to Michael Jess- Pollacco, Darian Fader, Nicholas Dolas and Avery Dolas Jessica Lee Brown, Dyllon (Katie) Brown, Paige (Bradford) Eckhart.  Many cousins and friends.

George was predeceased by his father Anthony Pollacco, his mother Josephine Pollacco, and his brother Robert L. Pollacco.

We especially want to thank Kelly, Dawn, Nadia and Jeannie for all they did for him when he needed help so much. May his soul now rest in eternal peace.

Interment in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Philadelphia Pennsylvania
