Evelyn S. Ventresca (nee: Scarpello), age 97, of Philadelphia, formerly of Germantown, passed away on Thursday, June 18, 2020, at Wesley Enhanced Living Pennypack Park in Philadelphia; Evelyn was born in the Germantown section of Philadelphia on July 20, 1922; she was a proud graduate of Chestnut Hill College where she earned her BA in Psychology. She went on to become an Educator in the private and public school systems. She was the dear daughter of the late Sabatino Scarpello and the late Pasqualina Scarpello (nee: Iannuzzi); beloved wife of the late John J. Ventresca; loving mother of Barbara Ann (late Thomas B.) Evans, Ave Jeanne (Life Partner Daniel Dadario) Ventresca, and John Edward (Edison Ribeiro Filho) Ventresca; dear sister of the late Joseph D. (Mary Ann) Scarpello; beloved grandmother of Ron Michael, Eric, Matt, and Mark Zettlemoyer, and Michael Evans; beloved great-grandmother of Emily, Isabella, Mia, and Olivia Zettlemoyer.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Graveside Service on Tuesday, June 23, 2020, 11:30 am., at the Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, 3301 W. Cheltenham Ave., in Cheltenham. Please meet at the office at the Easton Road entrance.
