Edward M. Hooven, age 71, of Philadelphia, a retired Philadelphia Police Sergeant, passed away on January 3, 2026, at his home, surrounded by his loving family. Edward was born in Philadelphia on June 23, 1954; dear son of the late Edward F. Hooven and the late Florence Hooven (nee: Barnett); beloved husband of Lisa (nee: Giordano); loving father of Morgan (Zachary) Turchi and Makenzie (Matthew) Lyle; dear brother of Linda (Jake) Jacobson, and the late Michael (Tammy) Hooven; beloved grandfather of Owen Turchi, Miles Turchi, and Nora Lyle; also survived by his many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his visitation on Friday, January 9, 2026, from 9:30 to 11:00 am., followed by his Funeral Mass at 11:00 am., at St. Anselm Church, 12670 Dunks Ferry Road, Philadelphia, PA  19154. No Interment.
