Edna Lorraine Fenn aka Lorraine was born June 10, 1934 in Philadelphia PA. She entered into eternal life at the age of 90 on October 10, 2024. Lorraine was a devout catholic growing up in St Raymond's Parish in the Mount Airy section of Philadelphia .
The middle of 3 girls, she loved the outdoors, the beach, the ocean, bike riding, ice skating, snow skiing and was an excellent water skier! In her professional life she worked as an XRay technician at both Germantown and Einstein hospitals. In her younger years she enjoyed traveling and taking photos. Lorraine lived in her childhood home in the Temple Stadium area of mount Airy for over 80 years. The last 3 years she resided at St Mary's Manor in Lansdale. This property had special meaning for her as her great Aunt Clara and great Uncle Dan Murphy purchased the property of St Mary's B Manor and in 1924 built a replica of a chapel they loved in Italy. They donated this property and chapel to the archdiocese of Philadelphia. As children Lorraine, her sisters and her mother would regularly meet Aunt Clara, Uncle Dan and Cardinal Dougherty (a personal friend of Uncle Dan and Aunt Clara) at St Mary's for Mass and tea with the blind women and children residing there. Lorraine had a great many life long friends. She will be remembered as a devoted daughter and sister. She deeply loved her family including her nephew, nieces, great nieces and nephews and great great nieces and nephews!
She is pre-deceased by her parents ( James R.Fenn and Edna C. Delahaunty Fenn) her sisters (Patricia Fenn Shields and Tina Fenn Hammel) and her nephew/Godson (Robert Anthony Lanzetta). She is survived by nieces Annette Lanzetta Antolik( David), Barbarann Shields Probs ( Pete) and Angela Lanzetta Romeo (Paul) as well as 9 great nieces and nephews and 5 great-great nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Visitation on Friday, November 29, 2024, from 9:00 to 11:00 am.., followed by her Funeral Mass at 11:00 am., at St Mary Chapel on the campus of St. Mary Manor, 701 Lansdale Ave., Lansdale, PA 19446.
