Edmund Alex Summers Sr., age 93, passed away on May 14, 2019.  He was born and raised in the Roxborough section of Philadelphia. Ed was predeceased by his wife, Madalyn (nee: Bordas) and his grandson, Edmund Alex Summers, III.  He leaves behind his two children, Edmund Jr. (Rosemary) and Lynn (Joe) Padilla and his grandson Kevin Summers.  He was a proud World War II veteran and spent his entire career as a machinist retiring from General Electric over 30 years ago.  During his retirement, he spent 10 years residing in Florida where he enjoyed year round golfing. He would drive the 18 hours from Tampa to Philadelphia non-stop twice per year to visit his beloved family up until 10 years ago when he moved back home to spend his final years with his family.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing on Wednesday, May 22, 2019, from 10:00 to 11:30 am., at the George Washington Memorial Park Chapel, 80 Stenton Avenue, Plymouth Meeting, PA 19462.  Interment and Military Honors to immediately follow viewing at Gravesite.
