Cornelius "Neal" James McCarthy of Maple Glen, PA died peacefully in his home on Monday, November 25 ^th , 2019 at the age of 69. He is the beloved husband of Victoria Ann McCarthy and loving father of Katelyn M. Charleston (Matthew A.). He is also survived by his grandsons, Chase and Parker, his three sisters, Margaret, Frances, and Barbara, and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends who loved him dearly. Neal was the son of the late Cornelius and Catherine McCarthy and brother to his late sister, Rosemary.

Neal spent over thirty years of his life devoting himself to the Abington School District as an elementary and junior high school principal where he positively influenced students, teachers, and administrators alike. He was an avid and loyal Penn State football and Philadelphia Phillies fan. Neal loved the little things in life, including his three puppies, watching his favorite movies, and reading non-fiction.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Saturday, November 30 ^th from 9:00 am- 11:00 am, followed by Catholic Services at 11:00 am., at the ANGELONE FUNERAL HOME, 501 Easton Road, Willow Grove, PA 19090 . There will be a luncheon immediately following the service at the North Hills Country Club, 99 Station Ave., Glenside, PA  19038.
