Anthony Edward Higgins was born on May 23rd, 1990 in Algonquin, Illinois to Terry and Theresa Higgins. After a valiant battle with brain cancer, he passed away surrounded by family at home in Langhorne, PA on October 10th, 2026.
A loving husband, kitty daddy, lifelong gamer, and Philadelphia sports fan, he approached everything in his life with passion and gusto. He did not just play games, he set out to conquer them. Just like he could not just watch a sporting event, he had to make sure everyone around was just as locked in; and was convinced that the players on the field could hear him yelling through the TV.
After graduating from Pope JohnXXIII Regional High School in Sussex, NJ he attended college in Philadelphia, PA where he met his future wife, Leah. His sharp intellect took him to the US Navy’s Nuclear Power School in Charleston, South Carolina, one of the most intense technical training schools in the military. He had hoped to serve on a submarine, though a medical setback ultimately led to an honorable discharge before he could deploy.
After leaving the Navy, marrying his love, and exploring various career paths, Anthony ended up at the US Post Office as a letter carrier. He enjoyed the camaraderie of his colleagues and he especially enjoyed the interaction with the people on his route. For Anthony it was more than just a job and he delivered more than letters and packages. He knew everyone along his route, bringing a warm greeting to every doorstep.
Anthony is survived by his loving wife Leah, their cat Casey, his parents Terry, Theresa, Paul, and Darleen, his siblings John, Julia, Richard, Chihiro, Patricia, Kevin, Tristen, Elyse, Scott, Seth, and Gabby, 3 nieces and 2 nephews, and countless Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, and friends.
While he didn’t like grand displays of love, particularly presents, he made sure you knew how much he cared and loved you through his actions. Whether it was quietly helping out, having a heart-to-heart when life got real, or just being there with a big hug and smile he let you know how much you meant to him. He was a fiercely devoted husband, a proud kitty daddy, and a steadfast anchor for the people he loved.
He fought with everything he had, on his own terms, until the very end. F%!k cancer.
