Almerinda Joy Gentile (née Arnone), 79, passed away on March 23, 2023. In 1943, Almerinda "Alma" was born in Philadelphia, PA to Vito and Helen Arnone. After Alma graduated from Anchilla Domini Academy (Germantown) in 1961, she went on to study at Gwynedd Mercy College. After graduating with a degree in English, Alma initially worked for Ford Motor Co. in their dealer development sector before moving into her true passion - teaching. As both a permanent and substitute teacher, Alma taught at many schools in the Montgomery and Bucks County areas including St. Luke's Elementary School (Glenside, PA) and St. Bede the Venerable (Holland, PA). But her most rewarding position was as a Latin teacher at Villa Joseph Marie High School (Holland, PA). She truly enjoyed teaching so many young bright women who would later go into the medical and legal fields.

In 1973, Alma married the love of her life, Anthony Gentile. Together they had three children - Maria Helene, Anthony Joseph, and Almerinda "Rindy". In 1992, Alma and Anthony decided to move to Cocoa Beach, FL with their family. She loved being on the beach and living on the Space Coast. Alma loved cooking for friends and family, traveling, reading, puzzle books and shopping. But most of all Alma was devoted to her family, and made spending time with them her priority throughout her life. Alma is predeceased by her husband Anthony, and parents Vito Arnone and Helen Arnone (nee Quartucci). She is survived by her children Maria Helene, Anthony Joseph Jr., and Almerinda "Rindy", sisters Vitina "Tina" Caliendo and Antoinette Elia, and brother Victor (MaryEllen) Arnone. She is also survived by many beloved nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews who she treasured and adored.

Viewing will be this Friday March 31, 2023 from 9:00am to 10:30am, followed by the Funeral Mass at 10:30am at Immaculate Conception Church 604 West Avenue Jenkintown, PA 19046 Interment will be at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery 3301 West Cheltenham Ave . Philadelphia, PA 19150
